Antony Nezic
General Director
Antony Nezic is the General Director of Learning Strategies and chair of the Advisory Board overseeing strategic direction for the organisation. Antony understands the privilege of, not only working with a team of dedicated professionals over the almost two decades of involvement with Learning Strategies, but with the multitude of families and children that come to Learning Strategies for support, solutions and problem solving. His background in working with teams in international development consulting for more than 20 years on complex projects in diverse countries and complex socio-economic cultures has led his guiding approach to enabling the team to treat each client case as individually and carefully as possible. Antony is proud to be a part of encouraging and working alongside individuals at Learning Strategies who value a culture of skills development, open-minded-ness and genuine empathy and humility.
As co-Chairman of the Terry Fox Run Vietnam for a number of years, and Executive Director of the Paediatric Haematology Oncology (PHO) Programme, Mr. Nezic had a role; primarily as ‘chief instigator’ and fundraiser, with another outstanding international team working on behalf of institutions that support children and families. The PHO Programme established the first Fellowship Programme in Vietnam at the post-secondary degree level at the University of Medicine and Pharmacology in HCMC, with advanced training for Vietnamese paediatric oncologists. He has a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Calgary and after living in Vietnam for 15 years, now resides in Nelson, B.C., Canada.

Learning Strategies – Internship Programme
Learning Strategies (LS) offers a challenging and compelling Internship Training Programme for graduates and soon-to-be graduates in the field of education and mental health. The Programme is practical and hands-on and includes performance evaluation designed to support practicum learning and differentiate candidates on the basis of their capability and commitment. LS believes this prepares Interns for the requirements and demands of a career in mental health practice. The Programme is an initial stage of a continuous process of in-house learning and training that is at the core of LS approach to skills development and professional practice.
The Programme is managed out of the Learning Strategies Institute which was established in 2020 with a dedicated team to focus and systematize all training programmes within Learning Strategies and to support external training.
