Khang Nguyen

Advisor

Khang holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hoa Sen University in Ho Chi Minh City, is qualified through the QABA as an Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT). He has been working with children and adolescents with a range of needs, under the ongoing supervision of the senior team at Learning Strategies since 2023.

Since joining the team, Khang has refined a play-based and engaging approach to working with children that has elevated him to the position of mentor and trainer to newer recruits within the LS Team. Khang has accumulated experience working with younger children affected by significant learning and behavioural challenges, as well as older children and adolescents requiring counselling, life skills instruction, and opportunities to engage in community activities. Khang has worked in client homes and in community settings in addition to the work that he delivers on-site at the LS Centre, and regularly trains parents, nannies, and other care providers in supporting their child’s development at home and in the community.

Working with children with special needs is a privilege that fuels my passion. I’m driven by empathy and a deep curiosity about human development. I focus on understanding each child’s unique communication style, especially non-verbal cues, to build trust and foster a supportive environment. My goal is to empower them using evidence-based strategies that encourage growth, resilience, and confidence. I believe every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential, and I’m dedicated to walking that journey with them.
