Winnie Nguyen

Senior Advisor

Winnie has been joining Learning Strategies as a programme advisor since January 2022. Winnie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and was also trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) after graduation. Winnie has later on completed her training and supervision in applied behaviour analysis (ABA) and is now a certified Applied Behaviour Analysis Technician (ABAT). Currently, Winnie is further enhancing her professional capabilities by pursuing additional training and supervision for the Qualified Autism Service Practitioner-Supervisor (QASP-S) certification. This ongoing professional development underscores her dedication to delivering exceptional service and keeping up with the best practices in her field.

Winnie has gained extensive experience in providing early intervention for young children with ASD using a play-based approach in combination with applied behaviour analysis strategies. Through her years of experience working with children with a range of difficulties, she has learnt that every child has the potential to expand their skill sets and engage meaningfully in their communities with adequate understanding and support from their environment. As Winnie gains more technical and life skills, she’s moving forward to get involved more in supporting adolescents with ADHD or various academic needs.

Winnie loves learning languages, she can communicate fluently in Vietnamese and English and also knows conversational Japanese and Chinese. Throughout the years Winnie has maintained her curiosity about developmental and behavioural psychology and also the tools that she can utilise in order to best support the children and adolescents in need.
